well shortly after i sprayed this 545, i talked to my dad on the phone who was down in big pine key, and asked me how it went and so on. i told him good except a couple of gun scrapes where the gun hit the wet paint.

about an hour later a stranger calls my phone saying he was unconscience in the grocery store getting chest compressions. he passed almost instantly.

without him i would not be here. he taught me everything i know, especially boatbuilding. this boat will be known as the joey valentine.

Dirt,
God Bless your father, and bless the legacy he left behind, which is you, my friend, and others he touched throughout his life.  Your father goes with God now...

Jesus promised us eternal life.  You are now seeing that promise come true, as it always does.  Your father will live on through you, through your children, through the lives that he touched, and affected.  Always, always remember that.  I have a Crescent wrench, from the original Crescent tool company.  Must be getting close to 100 years old now.  My grandfather's.  My Dad gave it to me when he no longer felt like messing around with oil changes, fixing stuff, that sort of thing.  Now I do it.  I go over to the folks, my Dad watches me (has to make sure I'm doing things right!), and I show him the old Crescent wrench.  He takes it from me, and I can see that look of him thinking about his Dad.  And when I hold it, I think about my grandfather, and my Dad...

And they live on, and on.  You sir, have your boat...and you will have many a memorable trip with your Dad... :salut:  :salut:  :salut:

Sorry for your loss. Tough thing to happen at this time of year. When you get this thing splashed he will be beside you at the helm wanting to know which way to go, so close your eyes and listen. He will be that little voice saying " why don't we go that way".

My prayers are with you man.
