looking good  :salut:
Are you using an air file? A straight sander used in body shops - I guess about 15 inches long.  Would save you some time until the finish coats.

I would not do a boat without an inline sander - that thing is worth its weight in gold... as long as you know how to use it properly!

ya ive got a 5 foot or so handboard for big areas like that just to knock the high spots down and show me where to fill. pneumatic stroke sander wont come in until its pretty close to flat. a few hours with the grinder and all the gel is gone... at least waterline and below, its fine above the waterline. got some interprotect 2000 leftover from my uncles boat to coat all the bare glass with, then whole boats getting high build, 545 and topcoat

And have the CFM available - gotta have a bigger compressor otherwise you're waiting a lot.

Looks great. Hate you had to go past the gel to dig out what was shown previously...but you pulled it out by the roots..like extracting a bad tooth/teeth

Good work...and for sure you didn't cut corners.

Presume you're going back with gel on the hull bottom?

My rebuilder says that way back..it was a numbers production thing....some resin didn't set off...others were too hot....my rebuild has basically shrunk a sixteeth all around over the course of 38 years...she ought to be set-up by now
