The official 19-6 registry.
« on: April 13, 2009, 01:38:00 PM »
If you own a 19-6 please post your HIN (if available) or estimate of age and I will keep a log of those stats for reference. Now its our turn for some fun! It also seems like there are a lot new 19-6 owners like me,so welcome and post those numbers and we can see just how many of us there are!
OK this was my idea so I'm first!

OK this is open to the 200 Osprey guys too! And welcome to all of them also. Hey scott gunn when I'm reading your HIN the last three numbers are the month and year? I found the other post about the ones before 84 so those are pretty easy. I just want to keep them in correct order. So far three 73s and one 87. Looks mine was built in feb and flkeys was built in march. I know there are a lot more so come on and lets see what you got! Hey allan from VA this is the correct thread. In looking at your HIN it ends with 740 and i'm not sure what that translates to. Post it on here and by then someone hopefully will clue me in to figure it out.

hey Allan are you sure that last digit is a 0 and not a D, the D would make more sense.

Yes it's an "O" at least on the registration papers.  I'll double check what is actually stamped on the hull, but according to the papers I have on the boat it's an "O"      Allan.

PS.   when I cut the skin off the transom I cut out the hull numbers to re-attach later.  If I could figure out how to post pictures I'd take a shot of it and post it.   Seems I'm photo-posting challanged.  These dang new-fangled gadgets! :?

Cool!!! Add another one. I keep looking at older threads and see people with 19-6s I always wonder if they still have them and how long before they see this thread. Thanks for the post and you are now on " the list ".

I'm not sure. Sounds reasonable to me. We have two examples of post-84 and they both end with the year so it is certainly a reasonable assumption.

Okay I double checked the hull ID# and the last digit is a "C" not an "O"........ASPEO853M74C    Does that make more sense?   Allan in Poquoson.

Sometimes they are really hard to see! Yes that makes a lot more sense. On mine someone had installed the tiedown loops right over it! That should make yours October 74. Now the question is do you change your registration?

I dunno, since its registered with Virginia Game and fish with the letter "O" at the end, and the registration card I got from the previous owner is registered that way I might be better off just leaving it alone instead of opening up a can of worms and more red tape.  I am still in the process of registering it .    :)
