Welcome Dave! No the G would be correct on your hull. The problem occurs when someone says theirs is a "O". "O" doesn't exist as there are only 12 months. "A" started the model year in august and so on. In fact your hull was built only two right after mine 0618 and 0620! Get some pics up and we can compare the two. I did find out something about the HINs on some of the newer hulls like scott-gunns. The last three digits of his HIN are 687, the 6 is what year model his is and the 87 is which year it was built.

Thats what I said earlier in this thread! Did you notice how there are more hulls from the "cooler" wintertime, maybe a different amount of hardener in the mix?

First post here, got an Aquasport 19-6 from my uncle a few weeks ago and finally got around to posting it up here.  HIN ASPE1988M77D (just sanded off the gelcoat that was over it, turns out the registration is completely wrong)

My uncle bought the boat in the 80's in CT and brought it up to Maine to my grandfathers house where it was used until around 2000.  It then came back to CT and was fished on Long Island Sound until 2008 when he bought a new boat, leaving this one in the yard under a tarp for 2 years until I got it.  Haven't been able to use it much this year, I head out for school in two weeks, plus the boat isn't up to date on the registration and paying $52 to use maybe 5 times doesn't sound worth it.

The boat started with a Mercury outboard, which blew up sometime after 1989, and was replaced with a 1989 evinrude 115.  That motor lasted about 12 years and was sold/traded for a 90 or 100hp evinrude.  Around 2005 that motor was replaced with a 94 Yamaha 115 which I currently have on the boat.  Ran great the few times I have used it, just need to do a little work on the wiring for the oil pumps.  Got a 13 x 19 SS prop, with two people on board it'll do 39 at 5000rpm

The floor is a little soft behind the seat, but I don't think it warrants any drastic repairs.  From what I can tell the boat is solid, other than a little flex in the gunwales (is this normal?).  No visible flex in the transom.  Needs some floor paint, but I figure it's not worth doing that then storing the boat for the winter a week later.  I'll have something to do come the spring time.

Welcome aboard Big D  :!:  :!:
We have a few members from Texas - not so sure of the Dallas area though.  They'll pipe in here shortly.
