Thanks Lewis.
The hull has a few nicks and character marks I wanna repair, then possibly new gel or bottom paint.
I'm still not able to upload pic's yet. It may be because I'm at work on the company puter. I'll try when I get home. I read a few threads about live wells and was wondering if anyone had any problems with location. My hull is self bailing but I'm considering cutting the deck and installing a bildge pump and would want to install live wells near the stern.

Hello all from Florida Home of the GATORS. Recently aquired a 19-6 aqua sport found this site trying to ID the boat before I recieved the title. After I found out what I had bought I was even more enthused :bounce: I joined hte site and WOW I love this place plenty of info and stories of this boat. title says 1973 HIN#ASPE0856M740 it powered with a 1983 johnson seahorse 140 with about 20 hours on the rebuild. Got it for cheap (seller sold due to the big "D")pictures to follow...greazy

Welcome! Hey greazy just to make sure since we ran into this with Alan in poquoson va hull the last digit tells you what month your boat was made. His also was thought to say 740 but upon examination the 0 was actually a C. Back then their model year began in August which had an A, September had a B and so on. If you continue this line July was the end of the year and it would have a L. Mine was built in Feb of 73 hence it has a G which looked like a O until I really cleaned it off. Welcome again and get some pics up so we can see her! :)

I wanna play too.... I have a 1978 Aquasport 19-6 Center Console powered by a 1978 Evinrude 140.  It is in great running condition, I fish it every chance I get.  I am currently trying to do some upgrades thanks to all the people on this board and finally realizing that I have a nice classic bay boat on my hands.  I will post some pics up as soon as possible, as it may be the last time she looks the way she currently does.  She needs some paint to clean her up, but thats about it.....

Hey uc4me I think your hull has been renumbered. It would have had a HIN beginning in ASP. Any idea of the original # or is it just gone?
Your hull would be the oldest one so far if we can confirm this! Yes Chris I'm about to publish the "list".
Thanks !!

So not to "bash" any ccpers but had a run in with one at the boat ramp the winds were pretty bad out of the northwest and when the guy pulled up he says "sure you want to take that "flats" boat  out today"  "never had a problem before" I replied. So as he launches his CCP he neglects to hook a tag line to it or even have someone on the boat, already leaving I see this and had to stop and watch glad I did because as soon as he pulls the trailer out his boat proceeds to drift up on the ramp broad side.  guess even CCP's can handle some wind :D

As a side note greazy it looks like your hull was built right after Alans. That would make it a C like his or maybe a D. I really don't think its a 0.
