8) I just found a pic of the Aquasports that were available to us when we stayed in the keys. This pic was taken at the time share condos on Knights key right where the 7 mile begins. in the background looking NE I think is Marathon. These boats were brand new, check out the gloss! The timeshare let you rent them for $25 bucks a day plus gas. They were part of the package when you bought a timeshare. Yes those are 19-6s with 70 Johnsons! I think this is around 78 maybe 79.

You know what I love about Aquasports?  After all these years, one look at the gunwale in the bow area as it curves inward, and you know it's an AS.  Tell me Grady, Whaler (except for the 'banana" boats"), Wellcraft, Proline, etc., has such a distinguishing feature...

They should have let the renters have some fun and put 150s on them... 8)

I agree about "the flair" there isn't anything else like them.

Talk about a small world I live in Marathon I'll take a picture of that same spot tomorrow just a before and after. It was before I was born not to make you guys sound old but that place is called Hawks Nest now don't know if it was back then.  P.S. that is Boot Key in the background

It was called hawks nest then also! Right behind the diner.  I really think this pic was 1978.

We went out that night and loaded the center cooler so full it wouldn't shut. Huge flags and 4barrel carbaritas. I will never forget it! That was the night I figured out how much I loved the ocean and what a totally cool place we all live in. Right in your freakin backyard dude!
