Allright, off the top of my head.  Black, of course ground.  Red, power to the starter solenoid.  Purple, ignition power.  Yellow w/red stripe, neutral safety.  Can't remember the rest, but I'm sure others here can.

Your going to have to find it's twin in the engine harness somewhere close under the helm and butt them back together.  Does the wire look like it broke or like it was cut?

got the kill switch figured out... but an alarm keeps going off in a "beep.. beep... beep..." after a minute of running. its not running hot, can hold my hand on the head for more than 5 seconds, and showing 5-6 psi water at idle on the garden hose.

400,
Do you have the "System Check" warning lights on your tach?

So right now, we don't know exactly what the alarm is signaling.  Could be the VRO system has issues.  Try this.  If you have a 6 gal gas can around, mix up a batch of Premix and connect it to your engine fuel line, bypassing the fuel tank.  See if the alarm comes back on.  If the VRO pump is not mixing in enough oil, that could be your alarm.

BTW, I have a stand-alone Faria "System Check" 2" gauge you might be interested in.  Euro white with an SS bezel.  Same gauges we use on our current Prolines.
