Converting my single engine to twins
« on: February 07, 2009, 09:49:00 AM »
I am hoping someone has been through this before, so I will start here.

I have a 2004 Explorer 225 that came with a 225 Yamaha four stroke that is just a tad underpowered for my use.

One of the things I am wondering about is does the transom need to be modified to install twin engines or can it be used as is?

Any thing in particular that I should do or avoid doing in a project like this?

I see one of the members here is an old AS employee, I sure hope he chimes in as I have a ton of questions for him.

Thanks in advance for your responses.
