Classic Aquasport.com Gear...?
« on: January 26, 2009, 08:34:39 AM »
I notice that when I click on the gear link on this website, the only thing that pops up is "coming soon".  Is anyone working on coming up with some "gear"?  I'd like to have a little sticker/decal to put on the boat & truck that says "Classic Aquasport.com" in the same font (like at the top of the forum).  Also, maybe some T-shirts, hats, even jackets?  I know I would buy a few if they were available... 8)

Anyone have ideas on shirt designs.  We use a company that does great work for some our customers shirts and ours.  If we can decide on a design, I can send an image to get a quote.  Here is one of our Vapor shirts that we sell.  They are great and I were them all summer long becuase they actually keep you cooler than just a t-shirt.  I have an embroidery person locally that has good prices and offers the cool max breathable hats at fair prices too.

Good one.  Though I think some T-shirts would be a little easier to get ahold of than a cool refreshing beverage in the lake of fire.

Nice!  8)

I was thinking the design should be exactly what appears on the top left of the forum (with the "Classic Aquasport" logo in cursive, and "The legend of Classic Aquasport lives online" underneath).  Maybe that coupled with a picture of the flagship 22-2 for starters... even though the 19-6 is waaaay better in every way

Joking, of course.   :)

Any other suggestions?

I think that if we had some decals to put on our boats/tow vehicles, it might bring more awareness and more members to the site.

I actually found a PDF of the aquasport logo and had Kinkos cut me some vinyl letters for the back window of my truck.  I can dig the PDF file out if you all need it.

I would buy a hat or a tee or both... and a logo of a 200 CCP would be the best choice! hee hee

I'm having a sign shop make a sample decal for me.  Once I get it, I will post a picture of it, and if anyone else would like one, I can get more printed and mail em' out.

RickK, would this be copyright infringement in any way?  I remember reading one of your older posts about this topic and that came up...

The owner didn't have a problem with us using the logo.

The reason we haven't done anything like this is that it would be expensive (very) to stock all this stuff in different sizes and different styles plus all the coolie cups, hats, etc.
I think ClassicMako has about $3-4k worth of inventory. plus he takes a beating on shipping.
My pockets aren't that deep.  If this was my site.....

As far as the long sleeve vapor shirts and the t-shirts that I talked about earlier, I don't have to "stock" any.  Once I have a logo that everyone agrees on, i can submit it to my contact and he will give me a one time set up cost of $0.00 to $50 depending on if he has to edit the image or not.  After that there is no extra charge and I can order one shirt at a time if need be.  I wouldn't want this to get out of control but I am willing to work on this.  The first order would be to try and capture as many members as possible.  The area of concern that I would have is the shipping. Either I could set it up as a flat rate and hope that it breaks even or do a charge for exact shipping to each address ( possible nightmare).  I am checking on the cost of the T-shirts but the cost of the vapor wear long sleaves would be $21 each.  I need ideas and the PDF file and he will make a demo shirt that I can put a picture on the forum.  The first image is an example of the demo will be shown to us.

Wouldn't mind getting 3 white t-shirts/long sleeve with with a small 3" blue Classic Aquasport.com logo on the left chest or on the collar . The fabric would have to be of good quality
