With the 150's on the factory bracket, the scupper drains are barely above the waterline.  the deck drains have balls in them to prevent backflow but the are marginal at best.  With several people fishing, there is some water in the cockpit.  If you make sure the deck is well sealed you should not have any problem.

You may find it is in your best long term interests to rewire the boat while you have it apart.

It is just amazing how many 6" pieces of wire i found of different guages and colors...butt spliced together to make a two foot run.....

New here (lurked for past week or so).  Been getting my '83 200 CCP ready for the saltwater after quite a few years on fresh and almost two years dry-docked (with custom cover) in Tulsa.  Moved to San Antonio recently and dragged it down from Tulsa.

Boat was inherited via parent's divorce after 42yrs.  I went through my teenage years fishing Port O'Connor from this boat.  I was proud then as a passenger, now proud as owner.

Particulars:
1983 200 CCP (ASPP0959M83H)
1987 Johnson V-6 VRO (Oiler removed, now on Pre-Mix)
Bimini Top that I've hated since day 1.

Boat ran great last time out (July 4, '08).  Easter Day, I drained the 10 Gal of old (conditioned) gas, which still smelled good, and replaced with 10 Gals 93 octane super with a can of B-12).  Battery had been on charger for a week.  Ran 100ft hose to nearest spigot.  Hooked hose to new Flush-valve from Bass-Pro.  Pumped the fuel.  Pushed in the choke, turned the key and after about 10 cranks, it tried to kick off.  A few more chokes and turns of the key and I had a purring Johnson with water coming out all water indicators.  OK, it was more of a growl since I was out of the water.  Anyhow, Woohoo! I was a happy camper!!  After it warmed up, it idled great.  Tach didn't work and temp gauge stayed cold (I don't think it's working).  Need to get the volt-meter out and check things there.

Needs new cushions (all are original and starting to crack).  Molded switch bezel is cracked around the screws and some of the switches are a little sticky and all are sun-burnt.  New switches arrived today and I'm making the positive part of the mold that will make a new fiberglass bezel.  If all goes according to plans, switch bezel and new switches will be installed next weekend and then I'll troubleshoot some wiring issues (bow lights aren't coming on). I'm hoping the new switches will take care of most if I get the wiring hooked up properly.

Hull/Console is in great shape, was always covered and waxed although it needs a cleaning and wax job now.  It has most of the original decals, with nicks/cuts of course.  Floor needs a bit of protection as it has minor cracking in the original finish.  Teak needs re-finishing.  All is original!

I'll try to get some pictures attached here in the next few days.  I don't have many yet, but will get some more soon.

Before you cook something get you one of these. You can point it at each head and get a reading. Welcome aboard and now its time for the porn!

Great Idea slvring although a trip to Harbor Freight will be the most expensive 29.99 I've ever spent.

Porn you want?  All I can do is tease you with her at the moment.  The oak blooms were in full force so I tried to keep the cover on last weekend.

Here she is from the front.  See how she shines.

Here is her tattoo:

Welcome Fullboat.  That hull looks very clean for 27 years...and all in the same family!  Obviously a boat that's worth keeping :D .  When it's ready, edit in a couple of interior shots.  Thanks for adding it to the CCP collection.

With spring here we may have a few more turn up :thumleft:.

There was a thread in one of the forums for CCP owners---once----somewhere.  I dont remember where it was, however.

Now thats funny  !!! This is the only thread I have ever found dedicated to us ccp guys. When ever I do a search it brings up everything which is hard to look through for any ccp rebuild info. I would think more people were doing stuff with the ccps as they are just enough newer that you would think there was more of them? Does that make since? I am so far into mine that it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I know I'll have well over a drum of resin and I lost track of how many yards of nytex....yes its that bad. I really need advice on making new hatch recesses for the new deck and what best, most economic 1/2" composite to use. I love the ccp's but wish I could find more on them, mines an 1988 222.

Just joined this site a few weeks back.

Don't really know that much about this boat except what I have learned from this site. I have had this boat for 10 years now and I'm getting ready to replace the deck. Hopefully with some advice from you guys I will do the job correctly. Here are the pics I took last month when I decided to research the data on replacing the deck. I will be posting newer pics when I get breaks from my job.

Thanks to Capt. Bob and Rick for making this thread "sticky".  It is a good thread that got left behind and has some good info on the CCP'S.
