AS Gear?
« on: June 20, 2005, 11:10:15 AM »
Captain & Wilson,

Any plans on shirts or hats?

I need a Classic AS hat.  Anybody else need stuff?  Maybe should take a poll to see if demand is there?

That's definitely something we'd like to do. Anybody else interested in paying for shirts, hats, drink coolers, etc?

I'm in.  There are at least a couple of graphic artists in our midst. How about some creative, and enduring, proposals?  Also, someone ought to do some market research as to how the other Internet forums do on this type of activity.  Maybe some informal, administrator-to-administrator conversations (for example with thehulltruth.com, etc.) might shed some light on how this is likely to go.  In any case, I would certainly go for hats and T-shirts, and even tennis-type shirts.  For the guys with the big cruisers, wouldn't you just love cocktail napkins with the classic Aquasport. com logo?   8)  For those of us with the wet 22-2s, maybe monogrammed towels would be a better option

I would buy a couple of shirts and a cap -- maybe more.  Steve, are we OK from a trademark postion with using the Aquasport logo?

Count me in on the T-shirts and hats!

Let's see what the 'artistic design department' can come up with...

You can always do something through Cafe Press. Their stuff is fairly decent quality and they just produce it as it's ordered. Although, the idea of an Aquasport thong scares me a little...

As I recall, in some of the old AS ads there was an AS burgee shown on some of the boats.  Do you have any detail of that in the archives steved? Could we reproduce it?

Skipper has a good point, our Legal Department should look into the copyright situation before anything's done.  I went over to the Aquasport "gear" section to see what they were offering but the link didn't work...

I'd like in on those hats and shirts, too. That would take care of just about the whole summer wardrobe!!
