I am new to the site I recently found a 1975 22-2 inboard in need of major refit. she has a froze up 350 crusader with a 1-1 gear, also needs new floor. I am stripping every thing out and will post some pictures soon. It had vegetation growing out of the bilge & the trailer rusted out from under it. But I saw past all that, bought it right and plan on saving her. This is a great site for reference & everyone seems so helpful

Welcome to the site!  Aquasport inboards are rare, cool boats!  But you might consider some interesting options - one of the most interesting I've heard was running a driveshaft to the rear, and putting a jet drive on the transom - that would be a really skinny water boat!  

Whatever you decide, don't hesitate to post pics and ask questions on this site - someone here has probably done it - and you can learn from other's efforts!

Jack Shaft.  Center mounted motor linked to an outdrive with driveshafts and universal joints.  Best of both worlds.  Low CG of the inboard with the ability to trim like a sterndrive.

Or just plug all the holes, slap a bracket on the transom, and hang a pair of 225s on her.
