2008 SE Aquasport Group Fall Gathering

Hi all, it's that time of the year again.   8)
Let's shoot for the begining of Nov - has been perfect weather and water temp the last couple years at that time.  We lost a couple weeks of poll time because of the hardware crash but it still gives us some time.  I'll run this for 14 days.
We talked about taking the gathering way up in the bay this time so some member don't have to haul so far but since I'm not from that area I need some help with that. Give me some ideas - Mike look at your map again please.
I'll put another poll up for that once we get some places decided.

Hey everyone, last week  had the family out at Beer Can Island (Pine Key Island) just north-west of Apollo Beach.

Nice island, allowed to camp on the island, allowed to drink alcohol on the island, good anchoring all around.

This might be a good option to put up for a vote.

We lost 2 votes due to the glitch - was 7 for the 8th, 1 for the 1st as of yesterday 9/30.  Looking like the 8th is the popular vote.  Still have a week left for the ones that can't make up their minds  :bball:

So it looks like the 8th is the preferred date.  One thing locked in so far.

Is there anything like a "Billy's Crab Shack" out around Pine Key?  We need to start thinking about what we'd like to do, if anything, and need to know what's available in the area.

I do not know the Apollo Beach area... The only thing I can think of is around Harbour Island.

The gathering will be Saturday, Nov 8th and we'll be meeting at Pine Key/Beer Can Island in Apollo Beach.  This topic gives more info about the island, although I'm sure you know where it is since you're local.  If you know any other people with Aquasports - new or old, spread the word about the gathering.

Usually we meet around noonish and hangout for a few hours, checking out the boats and catching up on old and new times.  I look forward to meeting you. Your boat looks sweet.
