196 cc 1984 I need a windshield and having fuel problem
« on: September 09, 2008, 07:40:20 PM »
I bought a 1984 196 osprey I bought it from the second owner he hit a bridge with the windshield and threw it away, did it have a roll bar or hand rails , where do i find a replacement ? I had about a 1/2 gallon of sludge and water come out of the gas tank  I put a racor  water sep on and have no water now . But I need to replace the whole gas line I found a small hole  about 2 inch  from deck and  replaced about 6 feet under inspection cover that lead into the console.  should I replace the tank while I have the console out to replace gas line and  how do I do that.I am going to keep the boat and restore it with as many original parts thAT  make sense.  Thanks for any help in advance

Sean,
Try here for your windshield http://www.classicaquasport.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=19688#19688

Yes, it's about time to replace the tank. It may be perfect on the bottom  but you won't know unless you pull it out and look.

Good luck
