I put one in a 1987 Tournament Master last winter. I had seen one installed under the bathroom sink, but it was really tight. I took out the hot water heater under the sink in the galley and it fit nicely. I pulled out the refrig. to do the work. I ran the duct for cool air forward, back of the galley drawer and dumped the air at the foot of the lower bunk. The unit was a 9000 btu Merimade. Not any too much for here in Florida. You will need a sun blocking, insulated screen to cover the bow hatch. Mine had velcro on it an stuck to the existing overhead material. There were hoses through the bulkhead to the engine compartment for the hot water heater so used those holes. The refrig. is just held in with 4 screws.

For power I mounted a honda 2000 in a SS pan on the deck of the tower. I converted the fuel cap to a fitting so I could draw fuel from a 2 and a half gal. standard outboard boat type tank. Mounded that on the tower deck also. I had straps mounted to the tower deck so I could strap and unstrap them when I wanted to remove them. I securely fastened a heavy duty power cord to the rigging and brought the power down from the tower to the standard dock side power fitting. I had the honda on the port side of the deck, exhaust pointed towards the port side of the boat. I also had a carbon monoxide detecter in the cabin. I'll see if I can come up with some pictures.

For heat my boat had a water/heat eschanger mounted under the steps going down to the cabin. I got its hot water from the starboard engine. I removed that just to get rid of hoses and weight since down here we didn't feel we had the need for that, nor the hot water tank. We fished, no camping hence got along OK.   Ray
