I was wondering if any one knew weather or not you use any sealant when installing new gaskets on the sending unit or do you install them dry.
Thanks

Install them dry, but be careful tightening the screws.  Tighten them snug first, then final tighten in a criss-cross pattern to ensure a good, even seal.

Thanks you, it appears that the previous owner of the boat cut up an inner tube to try and replace the seals, but that has rotted and is now leaking gas so its time to replace them the right way now.

Also remember to carefully clean the sealing/gasket surface.  Get all the old residue out and make sure there are no pieces of "inner tube" or whatever on the surface.

Good luck!
