Hey everbody, I am fairly new to this site and am getting ready to try and tackle this rebuild myself. Just wanted to know where to get started. I painted my last boat with awlgrip and it turned out ok but I want this boat to turn out like the one undertow just had done. The boat has been kept out of the weather for the past 15 years I know and was hardly ever used before that. every thing under the deck seems to be in good shape and there are no soft spots in the floor. The transom has no flex that I can tell. We put a 220# man on the motor and it didnt budge. There are a few hairline cracks around the top cap of the transom and that is it. In my opinion the boat only needs cosmetic work done such as new seats, windsheild, and sanding and painting. I cant post pictures at this time but what am I leaving out without yall having to see it. What do I need to check for and how do I need to go about making this boat turn out the way Undertows did? I grew up and learned how to fish on this boat as it was owned by my father for the last 15 years so this rebuild is important to me and I plan on having this boat for a very long time. Thanks, RC :)
