Unfortunately, LilRichard is right - wood. I've got an '88 222XF. Let me know if I can answer any questions or provide any information, based on mine. BTW, it's a great boat. The cabin is not something you'd want to spend a lot of time in, but it does give you some cover from the elements and lots of dry storage, with a cockpit big enough for serious fishing. Like all Aquasports, its very seaworthy for its size -- have had mine up to 25 miles in the Atlantic, offshore Ocean City, MD, where 2-3' waves are a quiet day. The boat always performed flawlessly, but much better the more I got to know it. Duh!
