I have a 281 Coho bought it new in 1988 and I love it. It is wet so the curtians never come off but it rides great and fish's better.I am on my 4TH engine .I just installed a 3116 cat 350 hp cruises at 25 kts and topa out at 29 kts and gets about 2 miles a gallon.That is with a full tower 175 gal of fuel it came with 150 shoe horned in a few extra gals .I fish the rigs regularly and the 300 plus mile range is nice.I installed a set of spray rails and they halped a good bit when running but not so much going slow in a head sea. The hull was based on the 28ft open Osprey twin outboard rig that is why it sits low in the bow in the inboard verison.My whole deck lifts up on lenco electric hatch openers. had to cut it out and remold it to install the Cat. There is plenty of room below deck you just have to get to it
