Cosmetic Repairs
« on: November 11, 2007, 09:49:28 PM »
Hey Gents,

I want to do some cosmetic repairs on areas that will not be exposed to excess water such as storeage box and CC. Most of the repairs would be to fill in stress and age cracks. Can you recomend some type of filler or can I use automotive type fiberglass body filler.

Thanks for the input. Rich

Just filling a crack will not work.  Whatever filler will turn loose shortly.  If you don't grind down into them, prep properly, and repair them like it's the hull it will not hold long.  Some time half-azz repairs will come out looking worse than the original cracks.
