hi i need so help on my boat the fuel gauge is on the tank and there is some crap in it so the gauge isn't working is there a way to clean it or is there an alterinative way to see how much fuel is in the tank any input will help thanks

well the gauge is mounted on top of the fuel tank kinda like on the tanks for the small kicker engins if thats not enough info tomarro im goien down to do some cleaning and im gonna try to work on it ill take some pictures

you can remove that guage, just replace the whole unit.
Usually they are mounted with SS screws and the are corroded in place

thanks for your guys help i was looking at it 2 day and i saw some star head screws i my try 2 clean it at the shop tomarro. where would i find a new one. and does any one know how many gallons of fuel a 22.2 sand piper holds

the gauge your looking at is a tempo mechinical you can change just gauge or the whole unit you can get it at any boating supply store the part no. is 420100 for the sight gauge if you change the whole unit you need to know how deep your tank is
