Pictures from the 3rd gathering!
« on: November 04, 2007, 10:11:59 AM »
What a perfect day!  I think this was probally a record for number of people and number of boats.  Rick also has some pictures that I'm sure he will post when he back from camping on his boat.

This year we didn't pull up on the shore, we ties all the boats together like a "party barge". (only one person fell in the entire day!)

A giant THANK YOU to Steve (Undertow) from bringing out some great Chicken, Ribs, Hamburgers and Steak   and cooking them all up for everyone!

The pictures are in backward order. the fisrt ones shown were the last ones taken.

Ok, I know this isn't a boat, but it's as big as a boat, it was at the boat ramp and it is a classic, just not an AquaSport!

Jim, we got the badges. Rich, I'll bring a set by when you are back.

Nice AS but they didn't want anything to so with us.

Guess who fell in? We let her shirt dry a bit before any pictures were taken

Don't know about you guys but I got HAMMERED drunk...

Went to clean out the cooler when I got home and tried to grab a beer.  All 12 of my Coronas were gone and I drank one of DrzDave's Modelo beers.  13 imports.  That's a lot for me..

God Damn crooked trailer kept screwing me up at the ramp.  Yea, that's my story.  8)

I had a blast can't wait until the next one.

You acted and looked fine when you left - where did you, Mike and Marianne stop at on the way back to the ramp :?:

Here's some of the pix I took - I won't post them all, you can see them here - if anyone else has any pix, you can upload them to the same folder if you want.
We got to the area Friday around 3pm and "anchored" our spot for the next day - I made a couple runs to the ramp later but Dave never moved his boat until Sunday.

First night's sunset - it was pretty windy and clear

The gathering started off with a new friend Chuck (CUSnookin) pulling up in his 170.  I was cooking breakfast when he arrived.  After we ate, I jumped in his boat and we started to chase the Bonita or big Jacks that were "pushing" through the area, trying to catch a few. No luck - they disappeared as quickly as they appeared.
Chuck standing and his wife Joanne to his left sitting in the back of Dave's boat.

Chucks boat to the left and Bob and Joel's "Diver" to the right

Next to arrive was Steve in his Ranger.  I'll borrow a pic from Mike - Steve to the left, then myself and Bob of "those guys" to the right

It was hard to get any pix of Steve's nice boat because he was tied up right next to mine - Here's one of the stern and DRZDave's boat behind

More to come tonight.

The next members to arrive were Jim (Captflatback) and Mike in Mike's sweet looking boat

The next to arrive was Brent and Crew in his, believe it or not, converted 240 Cuddy - now a real beauty

Finally CaptRick arrived in his "new" ride

I forgot to mention much about DRZs '76 (correct me if I'm wrong Dave - I'm still stuck on '72) 170 that's in great shape.

with "those guys " '68 Diver" anchoring the rear of the flotilla from drifting away - still aging quite nicely, beside CUSnookin's nice 170

That leaves Daves "Caddy" and my "Shade machine" - they're easy to overlook unless you're looking for a place to hang - At one point I think I had 8-9 friends in my boat

And let's not forget the winner of the wet t-shirt contest - DRZDave's wife (Dave forgive me for not knowing her name - I don't think I ever heard it)

It was a wonderful day that I'm still smiling about and the next morning we were greeted with this to wake up to:
