Removing lower motor mounts - 1992 200 Mercury
« on: October 28, 2007, 08:53:31 PM »
I am trying to replace the lower motor mounts on this engine.  I have removed the motor mount nuts on the front of the yoke.  The head of the motor mount bolt is on the leg side.  What I am trying to figure out is how do you remove these bolts?  I don't have enough clearance to pull the bolt out because it is hitting the leg.  I have tried pushing the motor up while trying to remove these bolts from the yoke.  I have a Seloc manaul but this is not covered in there.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi John, maybe you should ask the same question on this forum.

Rick,

I have already posted there, but wanted to see if anyone on this site has ever had off the motor mounts.  I just can't figure out how to remove the bolts from the motor mount without having to cut them.
