Florida Suncoast Marine Service
« on: October 24, 2007, 03:30:29 PM »
I was purusing the classic mako site as ususal, and someone posted up a link to this company.

http://www.fsmarine.com

As I am trying to figure out who I might want to do a tower on my boat, I have been following up on leads to narrow down my search... and I called this guy.  This is a mirror of what I posted on the CM site...

Called him up and asked if he cared to discuss options on building a half tower for my rebuild. Told him I was not specifically looking for pricing, but wanted to understand options, etc as I narrow down my list of people to bring my boat to. The guy had the nerve to first tell me that he is "too busy to worry about talking to future customers because he has too many people lined up", and that he is the best in the area and that his customers "drop off their boat, tell him what they want, and don't worry about prices" and that he doesn't have time to deal with anyone who is asking about towers over the phone. Then he told me he had to go, and hung up the phone.

What a :*:.

I would avoid this guy like the plague... I have called several people (Quality, Marine Specialties, Sanchez Bros) and asked the exact same questions, and each place was very kind and courteous and answered my questions.  This guy will never see a dime of my money, and I hope not yours either.

Thanks for the heads-up.  I would have had to call him back and cuss him.

Not sure... just debating options.  I need to go over to Quality and spend some time with them.

Go to quality, you will see night and day difference in design and quality between anyone else in the area. That guys work looked cheesy as hell anyways.

I looked a a Sanchez display at a boat show last year.  It was a t-top with sit-down controls up top.  $6K+

Hey Rich,
It seems that you are undecided on what tower to install.  Why dont you just take it to that FS guy and sounds like to me he will decide for you.

One less decision for you :D

I'm just playin    I really hate people like that   But it seems that there are more of them these days.

Rich, I am planning on going to see the guys at Quality real soon.  You can pull straight up to their shop dock on the Anclote River by boat.  So, you can fish a little before and after.

Probably going within the next 2 weeks.  We have the same questions, if you wanna tag along and do some fishing let me know...

rich, he did the tower in my last aquasport. Let me dig around and find some pics of it.  i tried looking in FS archives but couldnt find my original post of it. Theres also another guy in the area who builds top quality towers His name is Jeff Lundy I will try to get his number for you. And one other option is call Andros Boats and ask for Andy, he will give you the name of their builder if you love their half tower you can go directly to them which I have heard very good reveiws from his work also.
