My inlet has been relocated to the center console (was on top of the starboard gunwale). I have the inlet grounded to my main ground buss. The tank itself has a seperate ground back to the same buss. My thought was to eliminate a chance for sparking to occur when fueling. It could be grounded to the tank itself but you still need to ground the tank in order to be effective (unless I'm missing some electrical theory I never learned). I'm still here afer installing the new tank several years ago so either I did something right or grounding the inlet/tank doesn't do anything.
