Undertow2 - would love to see more pics of the project.  Can you give a ballpark cost of what something like this costs?

Tyler915 - Count on $40K maybe to begin from scratch.  REALLY depends on what you want.

Pix from 11-21

Sorry for the delay guys, here are the photos from last week.  Basically, she is in that stage where things are coming together quickly.  I will be going back down tomorrow, will get more pix.

This shot shows the finishing stage of the bow cast deck, the top cap has been completely re-glassed, faired and shot.  Gettin' close!!

This shot shows the new 65 gallon tank!  Exact placement was discussed, of course we have gone forward with it.  Access will be exacting and easy for both ends.  Don't know why, but the sight of the tank got me all fired up...

This one shows the hull almost prepped out for gel and paint.  All ablative is off at this point and imperfections are being worked and faired out.  Starting to take on the look of a restored AS!!  I think I am getting blue balls at this point!!

Shot of the transom.  All faired out and ready for finish work.  I have decided on Bennett tabs, in no small way from the recent thread whereas you guys raved about their support structure.  I have Lencos on the Ranger and they work fine, but...

That's it til this weekend.  Photos should get more and more impressive as we move into December.  Still looking at pre-Xmas delivery.

Think I found my GPS/Sonar combo @ Boater's World, will post if I get it.

Hope you all had a great Turkey day and ate your weight in turkey.

Wow, Undertow2, that is definitely going to be the COOLEST 22-2 EVER!!!

I vote Undertow2's AS the absolute best boat ever built in the history of all boats.  It is the single most important boat of all time!!!!

Boy, you Florida boaters have it made.  Great pics Undertow.  I'm hoping to get my 170 out on Sunday but they are calling for ice and snow.  I'm more worried about getting the boat home from the water than the boat on the water.  I saw on the local news tonight that a 22' boat capsized four miles off NJ and two of the three onboard were rescued.  One of the survivors said they started taking on water and had no functional  bilge pump.
I am interested in restoring my \"new\" `72 Aquasport 170

Wow, the pics looks almost as good as the real thing Undertow.  I got to check out your baby last week when I picked up my Porta-Bracket from Bayside.  I got a say though, my 22-2 baby looking pretty good too. We'll have to have a boat parade when they're done!

Yea, Mike you and I are kinda "grouped" with completions.  We will definitely have to parade them both all over the Bay one day when they're done.
Are you gonna update your thread soon?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

2004 Performance Aluminum tandem axle, adjustable bunks, disc brakes, 2 spares, LED's, fore and aft guides, even got the receiver with the new hitch from the guy.  The tires are the original with NO wear.  This guy brought his boat home to his slip.  Probably no more than 50 miles on it.

Now, I have been looking for 3 months and was having a hell of a time getting out for less than $2000 used...

$1100.....

Feast your eyes on one of the best deals I have EVER made:

Bringing the motor, rigging and controls down to Bayside Marine tomorrow.  Life is good right now.  Pix this weekend.
