OK, given, I'm often guilty of quality overkill, but, that doesn't mean I want to change my habits.
For my fuel tank install, I need a 316 3/8" stainless barb to 1/4"NPT to mate with the aluminum fuel outlet fitting. I do not want to use bronze or brass in contact with aluminum.
I also need a fuel shutoff valve. My dream valve would look like this:
http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?pat ... &id=141937as far as having mounting feet. If would have 1/4"NPT or 3/8" barb ports, and be 316 stainless. I'd prefer not to use bronze, as those valves always seem to have brass and steel as well. I've reached down to shutoff a typical bronze valve before, only to discover the steel shaft has frozen.
And I have never felt that brass belonged anywhere on a saltwater boat, particularly on something well out of view and touched only every few years or in an emergency.
Anyone have any sources, or other approaches?
Thanks,
