I'll be there just not in my ride it's going in the shop for some tlc and a few new upgrades so you will have to wait for the photos in a week or so. Hey bob if the other Flatback I’m using doesn’t come through for what ever reason can I hitch a ride with you? Call me some time today or I’ll try you at the office. The project for today is to get the motor off and bracket.

Thanks

It was the best - pix to follow.
We had 9 boats in a huge Party Barge setup (as Mike said) with a wet t-shirt contest (maybe next time we'll do the beach thing so that doesn't happen again  ).  Just a wonderful weekend for me and a SUPER day of meeting new and old friends.  We had people in from about 2 hours towing away and had one member drive his boat in from a little south.
Steve (Undertow2) added the finishing touch by bringing and cooking, some of the best food I've tasted and certainly the only time we've offered this at a get-together.  THANKS STEVE - hope you didn't just set a precedent (but if you did, good for "the family" )
The gulf finally layed down this morning (was 4-6ers on Friday when we got there and pretty rough Saturday. A few attending members can tell us how bad it was when they drove in to the gathering), so Dave an I decided to stretch our boats out for a run down south of Egmont and back.  It was beautiful this morning.

I got back home around 11AM this morning after another wonderful night anchored in the pass.  After washing the 230 up and putting her back to bed, I watched the Bucs WIN :!:  :!:  and am now winding down to go back to work tomorrow after a week off  .  Anyway, I'm going to create a folder for pix of the 3rd SE Region Aquasport Gathering (since we drew in members from Yankeetown and other areas we need to change the name  ) and you guys can upload into that so they stay organized.

Stay tuned.

DOCREED YOU MISSED OUT.

I think the precedent has been set! Good family, good food, good beer and Classic Aquasports!

I really hated to leave.

Great Bucs game too

Go ahead Rick.....rub salt water in my wounds.

The good news is that late Sat and Sun I got my fish box bilge pump fixed..  No more toting around 600 pounds of rainwater.  I also got both  live wells to work.  ( the forward well drains into the fish box) So it wasnt a completely wasted weekend for me.

Although it looks like it was near perfect beer drinking weather, it was also great working on the boat and not sweating like a pig who knows he's  dinner.

Next project is the windlass.

The next gathering will be probably the end of April/Early May - seems like we're on a 6 month cycle, picking up more active members each time :D
Anyway, you don't have much time so ....
