Hi Guys,

Congratulations for your site,I'm Paolo I live in Italy precisaly in Rome,I 'm a real lover about american fisherman in particular Aquasport and Mako.
In Italy specially in low Tuscany there are many model of 22,2 CCP and of 250 CCP, I don't know if was a big importer in the 80's of this boats in Italy or if the people buyed the boats in US and then they taked in Italy (if someone of you know somenting ...) .
I'd like to buy one classic Aquasport if possible whith twin outboard 4 stroke, because in Italy the olds 2 stroke are more progessively proibithed,I' ve found one 250 CCP whith two honda 90 Hp whit some works of restore to do, I' m waiting end of july and I decide if I'll buy this  if this is still avalaible.
I' ve seen some material in your worderful site,I 'need a brochure of 1978 and the last I think is of 1988 in a best resolution for print, if some one can send me these brochure at my  mail paolettoultras@libero.it I'll be gratiful.

this is the boat that I 'd like to buy

which is the year of production ? , what do you think about ?, I 've seen some one similiar but whit braket, when is introduced ?, the project of story of aquasport of Steved advance ?

thanks for your attention, and sorry for my little english

Bye Bye Paolo

Welcome to the site Paolo.  I'm sure that others will be along to tell you more about the specifics of the 250 CCP, but I do know that all of the CCPs were very solid rough water boats.  Very well built.  The boat that you have posted pictures of looks very clean, but it might be slightly under powered.  (I say might because we Americans have a wonderful obsession with over powering our boats and automobiles, then daring to complain about our gas milage.  :?   If the price is right for you and the boat has enough power, go for it!

Ciao Paolo - and welcome!  Aquasport did export to Italy and sold quite a few boats there.  You should be able to find some nice CCPs if you look around.  You also may want to contact SteveD - he had a 222CCP and lives in Rome.  He was active in the Classic Aquasport forum until he got a new, non-Aquasport boat   .  Steve has collected a good bit of Aquasport literature and would be a great source of info for you.

You can send a PM or message to SteveD through this site - try this link:

Good luck!

Hi Paolo, glad to see you still around.  Everything is still ok here.  SteveD bought a different Manufacturer's boat but still drops in every once in a while.  Think he had some classy model in the one he showed us so he stays busy I think

Have your brother just buy a 222 or 250 while he's here and bring it back for you.  Lots of people are selling their Aquasports now  :( because of the gas prices here.  How much is gas there now?
