As per the thread in the Website forum- Anyone have an interest in some Classic Aquasport gear? If so, I will thro together a logo over the next few days and post it up... I can also look into pricing. Thoughts?

I would go ahead and design a logo and lets see what it looks like :) I love t-shirts and hats myself. I would purchase some if we had them made.

Ok, I will do my best to get something churned out this week or next. I will create two or three mock ups and let you all choose. Last time I checked (VERY round numbers), for orders under 50, a shirt was about $20- then it drops to $15 or so after a 50 pc order. That is also assuming 2 or 3 colors in the screen. I think koozies are a couple of bucks each at a 50 pc order.

Ok, here is something I threw together in a few minutes tonight while looking for a "Classic" script... too funny. I need to adjust the color tone- image is pink... but I am tired.
Do you guys like a retro shirt like this (we can brainstorm on diferent logos that might look cool), or are you more into a "real" Classic Aquasport logo? If so, someone please send me a font and I'll keep working.

Looks good, maybe a different color background. That would be a good color for my wife
. I'd definitely buy koozies, tshirts and visors. DP

Idea: How about starting with something simple... maybe like key chain floats. Everybody could use one or two of those.

I think that it looks a little bit too much like a Coca-Cola bottle. I like the logo and color at the top of this website.

Kackzi- that was the point... it is supposed to look identical to a coca-cola bottle, it's a "vintage" tee design. A lot of folks these days are using throw back logos on t-shirts... I just dreamt it up last night after a few beers and thought it might be cool.
I mentioned before that I am also happy to do the basic logo, but I need someone to send me the font used to create it for the site... because the logo above is too low resolution to use on a short.

I would go with the logo at the top of the page. Scan it to the size you need. The shirtman can burn a screen and adjust it to the color you want. Also once they scan it they have a computer/embroidery machine that will stitch the hats.
ps. I used to do this as a side job here in South Jersey.
We use to do all the Philadelphia 76ers bags and shirts etc.

Hey guys, just last week I was asking Eddie Ring (Classic Mako Admin) how he handles the merchandise on their web site. He replied with the following:
"
I invest in the stuff up front. I have about $3000 in merchandise on hand at all times (unfortunately, it has to be that way to keep the sizes on hand). I get a few donations to the webpage, and it helps a bit. But I also send out alot of donations from the webpage as well. For T-shirts I use T-formation of Tallahassee. They will only sell to me in 72 shirt lots, but I get a pretty good price (averages to about $7 per shirt). For hats, flags, & koozies I use Source One Marketing in Ohio. He is a friend of the website and will sell to me in any quantity. The hard part is processing the orders and shipping them out. I get burnt pretty bad on shipping sometimes, and my time that I put into it as well.Almost every Saturday I am making a big post office haul. The worst thing is keeping up with the inventory. I am always out of something.
I'd be very interested in a shirt and a flag, maybe a cap too.
I doubt we'd want to take it to the amount that the Mako site does but i'll chip in on some upfront costs if needed. (sorry, not $3k though)

I do like the retro design but the "Classic Aquasport.com" logo would also give this site some advertising. Maybe attract some more members.
The Classic Coke style would be cool on a coolie. Brown background, white lettering. From a distance Marine patrol and sheriff might think you’re drinking a coke instead of a beer!

I should have figured that was what you wanted it to look like.

Aqua- you are correct... that is how I would set it up, although if you notice, the logo is very pixilated if you blow it up to a shirt size. Anyone have the original logo or font?
Kackzi- I was actually worried people might not get the point... I didn't want people to think I was TOO loaded when I drew it up!
