Hacth Molds

I have been looking for hatches for my deck for a while... I think I solved the problem today. Found a nice gentleman in town who decided to get out of the boat business. Got two hatche molds with receivers, one 2'x2', one 2' by just under 4'. The longer ones will be in my casting deck (they should fit), while the 2x2 should be my bildge access.
Here ya go:
The molds need a little gelcoat work, but otherwise will save me a TON of time! If anyone in town needs to layup a hatch, let me know...

They have built-in non-skid - nice. I think I "get" the hatch molds - build it up in layers. Don't quite understand the molds with the center missing though. Can you explain?

It's 2 pieces Rick. 1] Is the hatch and 2] is the flange that will be mounted/glassed into a panel.

I get this part

Is this the part of the deck that the hatch closes on? I'm thinking that the the opening in the deck wouldn't have the holes all the way around being part of a deck panel? Is this for a flange that you would screw over a hole in the deck? This is the part that is hard for me to see via the "negative". Guess I'll have to wait to see what Rich does with it.
