176 Family Fisherman project
« on: November 12, 2024, 10:10:09 PM »
Hey everyone, new guy here. My name is Alex and im from Massachusetts. I am a diehard striper Fisherman and am comfortable from the surf or boat. I currently own. Logic170cc that's a fishing machine. I have always loved and wanted an aquasport. A few days ago, I was lucky enough to have been given this 1979 176 family Fisherman hull and trailer. The boat is in decent shape as it sits bit, but I have decided to put some serious work into it to bring it back to it's original glory. I understand these hulls are fairly rare, and this one  looks good considering its age. I can say I'm very thankful to the gentleman who let it go. My plans are to fix all the small chips and body imperfections, fix a small.soft spot in the floor, then sanding and lots of prep. The finish is still undecided, but in due time. Still deciding on power, but a 115 sounds like it should do quite nice. I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can from other members. Sorry if the picture doesn't work, I'm still getting used to this place 😅
