Doesn't seem to be a heck of a lot of these on this after lurking for the past 2 days.... I have an opportunity to acquire a 1997 165 STRIPER with a 2003 Johnson 60 (good bill of health/compression check good, pumps and shifts as should/ water flow, impellar new, etc.... bascially a good service done in July)
Have not seen the boat in person yet, just photos sent and looks to be in decent shape for the year. Both cooler seats there and fighting chair up front, seats in decent shape for the coolers...
Seems to be a soft spot around one of the cooler seat areas according to last service and on invoice said $2k to fix... I'm no stranger to fiberglass and resin, but has anyone else experienced this with this model? Anything else I need to know about like transom, bow locker area, etxc?
