Hurricane Milton
« on: October 12, 2024, 01:12:10 PM »
Milton made a direct hit on the gulf side of my county at Siesta Key with a 9-13ft surge. We missed all the torrential rain that had moved to the north side of the eye that flooded St Pete and that area with 12-20" rain in an hour, but we got the 101-105 mph gusts in the eye wall. yeehaw! I don't see much home damage in my neighborhood but the neighborhood of about a thousand homes looks like a war zone from all the tree debris. 5-6' tall piles of branches along both sides of all roads. Going to take a while to get all this mess cleaned up.
We are fine, house is fine, trees not so much. Had a big branch land across both boats (boats are fine) and it took 2 of us to get it off and to the curb.
How are the rest of the members that live in this area?
