Deck Drainage Improvement - 2001 Osprey 215 Sport

I want to improve the deck drainage on my 2001 Osprey  215 Sport.  Has anyone installed some type of flush scupper to drain the deck to the engine well or out through a though hull fitting?  I think if this is improved it would prevent a lot of that water that gets into the fish boxes.

I really don't mind the water as it can be pumped out, but water freezes here in the winter.  I don't want to dump into the bilge either.
