1979 Aquasport 200CCP FOR SALE - Full Rebuild
« on: September 09, 2023, 04:18:14 PM »
Hello All - I may be jumping the gun here & putting it in the classifieds too early, but my objective is to sell this boat.

I'm hoping you'll understand that with the year, it being a custom rebuild, and having never sold a boat like this before... that I'm appropriately looking to our community here for advice & thoughts on an asking price. For those of you that could be objective & helpful, I thank you in advance for helping me in this process.

I started documenting this rebuild here, then I moved to Instagram - my account is AQUASPORT200CCP for pictures, videos & the story.

I never intended to sell this boat - this was my first project, the first thing I ever really invested in for myself in my life that wasn't a necessity. I put every dollar I had into this boat for a few years. Every product on the boat I researched, I'm certain I've got 1000's of hours into this boat over the years. Its funny how life works - my first selfish investment is now for sale for selfless reasons - a first child, a baby boy & the need to buy a house in this crazy FL market.

I detailed a lot of things via Instagram posts, but would be happy to answer questions for anyone on here. I'll work on getting images on here.

All in all - what do you think the boat is worth? I've got some ideas, I know how much I've paid, but for those of you who have been buying & selling in the classic / restoration market over the years, what are your thoughts? I've included many of the boat details below.

Again, I really appreciate any information that could help me.

I went to the Porta site - I've never seen a bracket with swim platform. It's cool that you can have it mounted upper or lower.

BTW: Not everyone has Instagram - I don't. You can use your free gallery here to upload pics and post the pics from it.
If you want to post a pic when you talk about your boat, which you should, follow the instructions here http://classicaquasport.com/smf/index.php?topic=12725.0  - don't attach them - you are limited by file size and guessing what size to make the file will usually reduce the pic too much. Uploading them into your "member gallery" is better for viewing and the system takes whatever size you upload and resizes it to the best size.
Spend a few minutes to absorb the instructions. It's really easy. Remember if using a phone to take pics, to hold the phone horizontal with the lens to the left.

Agreed! Not only is the portabracket sharp but functional.

I’ve since settled on an asking price of 75k, negotiable & open to suggestions on price if the knowledgeable community thinks I’m high or low.

I’ve also posted to different places. I apologize but following the directions via mobile have been confusing & failed me twice. So instead, I’m going to hope someone has at least 1 of the 3 below!!
