My Aquasport is squatting too much. What should I do?

So I just got a 1980 Aquasport 20 foot Express Fisherman with a 150 2 stroke. My only complaint on the ride of it is that it is very aft heavy. I was at the boat ramp the other day and back the boat down and had it floating and some gentleman thought that I was still hooked onto the trailer or had my plugs out which wasn't the case. I also realized that the bow will cut through smaller waves just fine with the deep V but crashes down hard and will get a little too much air time in waves a bit larger making it almost impossible for someone to ride comfortably forward of the cabin (especially compared to previous boats of similar specs that I have owned). I am 50 hp under the max for the model so I don't think that my engine or the other aft weight that I have had is the issue. Has anyone else realized this or have done anything to solve this issue?

Has the boat spent any time on a mooring?  She may have soaked water into the stringers. When you have it on the trailer, crank the trailer up as high as it goes and see what comes out of the bilge. If necessary, drill a test hole at the inside bottom of the stringer, at the transom. Drill maybe a 1/2" or 3/4" hole. Also, does the boat have trim tabs on it?

No trim tabs on it and the previous owner trailered it... I'm sure at some point in its life it was probably on a mooring and that might actually be a good solution and diagnoses to the problem. Thank you!
