Hi everyone,

My bilge pump appears original and pumps very weakly. I am looking to replace it. But, 1. It is very difficult to work through the pie plate opening and it appears that the pump is screwed down so removal is difficult. I thought about just leaving the old one there and putting a new one next to it, but 2. I don't know what model is the correct size for the boat's electric system. Any ideas?

Make sure it’s not a Johnson 500 type first. They are a cartridge type that clips into a base that’s screwed into the floor. Not the best but easier to replace.
