What's up folks? I lurked around on here for some time years ago when I finished rebuilding my 1974 22-2. I still have her and I just picked up a 1991 230 Explorer Walkaround. The Explorer is in much better shape than the 22-2 was when I got her so hopefully she'll be on the water soon. Anyway, since I have two of these great boats now, I thought I would say hello. I also found some interesting stuff in the original owner's paperwork and I thought I would post the sales flier for the Explorer. If I can figure out how, LOL.

Welcome back eeldive. 

That makes 2ea. 230 EXs on the Forum. Just like the 210 but longer. Must be a late model 91. I believe the early model year hulls were labeled Walkarounds. 

Edit: I just went back and enlarged your pic. It is indeed labeled a Walkaround. The Explorer title came out in 92 and continued through to the end.

Nice addition and now you have a fleet  Your 230 never had bottom paint, that's a plus. I have a '92 230.
The stamp on the outside of the transom, starboard side has the HIN and also the model. The last 2 digits of the HIN is the year it was built. Does it say '91 ? Reason I ask is because the info sheet is marked '92.

Let me introduce myself.  I'm Doug in Port Richey, FL, and I just bought my first boat yesterday, which is a 1992 Aquasport 175 Osprey.  It is powered with a 1995 130 HP Yamaha 2 stroke.  By far, the main purpose of me getting this boat is to fish in the ocean.  While I will fish on the flats inshore, I really want to out in the ocean and target fish beyond the inshore options.  I am excited to jump into this forum.  I found a marine mechanic near me to do a pre-purchase inspection, and I sent him various listings, but when I sent the Aquasport, he was super enthusiastic about it.  He said there was a cult following, and he had a few growing up.   That  makes me feel good about my purchase and excited to improve it, knowing it is a widely recognized high quality hull.  Glad to be here.

Hello and thanks for allowing me in. I'm RJ from Lakeland ,FL. I am in the process of buying a 1989 Aquasport Ospray from a very good friend. The boat runs great and is solid. It does need a bit of tlc and a new fuel tank and lines . I hoping to learn a little bit as this is my first "project boat" and first fiberglass hull boat. I current have a Bass Tracker and an Airboat.
My plan for the Aquasport is to fully upgrade and add some mods. I want to set it up primarily for diving and spear fishing for my wife and myself.
The boat is currently in S.Florids and has been on the trailer in the back yard for the past 2 years.
I'm heading down there next week to pick it up. I will post pics soon.

Doa, the boat is 17 ft long with a gunwale height of around 12" or knee height. Keep that in mind as you head offshore.

Hello everyone, Raul from plant city fl. I currently have 2 1986 aquasport ospreys. 1 is almost water ready, the other is a parts boat that will be for sale soon.
