Decal removal

I’m asking about the raised badge type that is now disintegrated on my 205 Osprey, if I should try to remove with a heat gun will there be a ghost and what’s your experience in polishing it out.
I have seen replacement decals on eBay but would they last…….

A 3M eraser wheel works well.

You probably will see ghosting.
Polishing compound will remove some or most depending on depth.

Longevity depends on the grade of the vinyl. I've had good luck with replacement decals from a graphics shop.
Can't speak for eBay.

Have both. Items on hand, will be a spring time effort.

I ended up removing the AS raised emblems , eaisier than I expected. Compounded the area I’m more than pleased with the results
