Anyone know where the fore and aft bilge pumps are on this model? How to get to them? I turn them ON but don't hear/see anything.
Obviously, I am newbie!

Welcome aboard Ox!
If you look at the drawing at the bottom of this ad you can see that there is a definite low point in the hull just in front of the cabin door. You step down into the cabin and there should be a pie plate in the floor, if there is a bilge pump in the front. On my explorer I have one there and it pumps out the starboard side. In the aft see if there is a pie plate where your batteries are (or were) in the aft - looking at the drawing you can see that is where you should find a bilge pump and maybe thru-hull for wash downs of fishwell.

Very helpful Rick. Took the girl out yesterday and was exploring. Found the well between the seats but didn't see any entry for water, etc. Do people modify this to turn it into a live well? If so, are there any recommendations out there?
I'll look for the bilge pumps tonight and see what needs to be replaced.
Still in the honeymoon stage with the girl, I'd take her out everyday if I didn't have that pesky job.

Well, both bow and stern bilge pumps are working. They are darned quiet though. Now I have a spare pump.

Do they light up the switch when they are on? Having a spare bilge pump is not a bad thing.
I remember towing my Explorer to one of our gatherings and I was in stop and go traffic. There was a convertible benz beside me (beside the boat) on the starboard side and when I sped up all the water went to the aft and triggered the bilge pump. Luckily they were just enough behind the boat that it didn't get any water on the car or worse, IN the car.
