Don't know the situation with it.  I recollect somebody a while ago told me it wasn't for sale. But that was a while ago.  From the general look of things, bittersweet growing up through it, tires rotted and the tattered tarp, interest in her has pretty well evaporated.

If it turns out to be available and if the price is right I'd take it and mothball it.

I thought initially that this looks like my tarp attempt #3    but that one looks like a custom tarp/cover gone bad.  Hey, one for stash can't be too bad  Actually you can't base the transom on the cap.
How'd you find her?

I know they weren't made in Hialeah in '97 - MAYBE '67 - being a flatback.

What do you think that peg thing in the front end of the pole storage is? Something to hang rigging on?
Bob and Joel's FB had a one-piece deck up front (meaning no wells) too, although they had replaced the decking already by the get-together date, SO... I'm guessing that the back edge was added later on this boat? Actually the pieces along the side of the casting deck make it look like a possible rebuild too.

Someone on the board tipped me off to her about a year ago.  I was going down that way this morning so I grabbed the camera.  Just had a very brief peek since she's sitting on private property.  No obvious signs she's been tinkered with, which is a good sign.  Transom and deck are likely original.  Whoever used her didn't appear to bang her up any that I could see.  She'd need the whole treatment, of course, but that goes with the territory.  Couldn't see if the build plate was still there so no way to judge by the S/N where she sits in the sequence.

Have no clue what the pegs are all about.

With a crack like that below the cap and her sitting for ten years unprotected, it'd be safe to say the core is gone.

Regarding the logo, if those are the original rivets then she was shipped as a red boat.  The color appears to be under the logo.

DD was referring to the date of last registration.

I bet there is more than just the core being shot.  But she still is a head turner. Thank you JIm, I was referring to the date of last registration.

I agree.  All wood areas have perished.

DD, how's the weather out there?  New England's still in October.

We had 12" of that white stuff on the first of Dec. Sub zero temps after that but now it is in the 60's and my Harley is stripped down to parade rest, go figure. Wish I was back in the NE, but I will be in New London at the end of Jan for 2 weeks. One thing is for sure I miss the ocean.

I bet she was a pretty boat back in her day :) I love the red hull.  As far as the engine goes, I wonder if it was running when the boat was parked :?:

By the looks of things, the boat was likely used pretty regularly since she was kept in the water... not trailered.   Engine is not part of the equation.

Even if I couldn't get working on the boat for two or three years, It would kill me to see it gone one day and hear it had been dumpstered.
