Removing bow nav lights on a 2004 Osprey Sport
« on: March 30, 2021, 10:09:02 AM »
Newbie boat owner. Bow nav lights don't work. What is secret to removing bow light without casing damage. I don't see any screws to remove.

You have a bow pulpit? Light on the very front of pulpit? Post up some close-up pics.

If you want to post a pic when you talk about your boat, which you should, follow the instructions here http://classicaquasport.com/smf/index.php?topic=12725.0  - don't attach them - you are limited by file size. Uploading them into your "member gallery" is better for viewing.
Spend a few minutes to absorb the instructions. It's really easy. Remember if using a phone to take pics, to hold the phone horizontal with the lens to the left.

RickK, thanks for the info.
I was able to get a better look at the bow nav lights and realized that there were two screws set into the black, plastic mounting bracket. They are discolored and set so they blended into the bracket with my limited view.
Like I said, a newbie.

So now that I have the nav lights figured out, is there any secret to getting the passenger lounger seat to lay flat?  There is a knob under each seat which when loosened, allows the seats to slide forward or aft, however can’t figure how to get the seat to go down flat. Don’t want to force anything.

Never had them but I remember that you lifted the front facing seat up to clear the "box" and fold down the legs. Don't remember a handle/clasp/lock per sey just "friction fit. They could require a very firm tug/wiggle/shake if they had not been used for some time even in fresh water.

Good luck. :thumright:
