If there is any way to open the sides of your garage and stretch sides straight out, you'd be surprised how much the air cools down and there is usually a breeze. I used adjustable tent poles and had an oversized tarp - like 20 feet long and when I stretched that out, I could work under it and be cooler. You can see the difference in this one pic. You can see a tent stake also.

Rickk, my property is surrounded with oaks so with the amount of litter I get from them, its nice having the sides so leaves don't litter the inside or get all over a fresh laminate. The sides also help  to help keep temps down for longer in the morning under the shade. And last but most important, the humidity is much more maintained (dry soil below inside enclosed area) after rain events so I am able to get back to work quicker. The end walls have roll up zipper panels and with the fan, air movement is pretty good with just the end panels open.

What I really need is a large enclosed conditioned shop!!!! haha

Got some layers of 2408 glassed up in the bow. I had to grind gelcoat off and it cut the tom layer of woven. While things were wetted out, I went ahead and did the structural work for the forward bow stringers and hull bottom/chines. Five (5) hours to get this laminate done last night. It doesn't look like much but the longer side laminates were 9ft piece @ 12'' wide and there were another two (2) 76'' pieces per side to beef up the stringers/chine area. It was also an awkward area to work and had to lean over it all and "paint myself out of a corner" sort of speak.

Next I will finish the rest of the hull side coring in the bow and cap it with at least a layer of 1708.

Excellent. Looks really good. These old boats love new glass.

She is really soaking it all up and standing tall with all the new resin/glass materials. There have been many days that I have not been able to stand on those forward stringers, last night it proved that just one (1) layer of 2408 makes the world of a difference to the structure of these stringer. Unfortunately, the flatback stringers were made entirely of matt glass so the foam was 100% part of the structure of the stringer body. Anyhow, Hopefully I have grinded enough off to keep her thin with all the new material added!  :danceSm: :laugh03: :dancing: :thumleft:

Got the edges knocked off the new glass, scuffed here and there, and rest of coring cut to fit the rest of the hullsides. I am down to two (2) pails of resin BUT I do need additional Arjay Core-Bond to finish this up. I might get most of it laid up before I finish the bow to take advantage of the remaining spring weather. We shall see!!

I am down to just the last two large pieces of hullside coring and a few little filler pieces (once i get my bow eye backing installed). I laid up two large pieces last night but ran out of core bond 4001. Until I get some more I plan to laminate what's done with a layer of 1708 and have a small overlap when the rest of the coring material is stuck down.
