Trim tabs on 215 osprey
« on: August 14, 2020, 08:32:02 PM »
Hi all, newbie here.. I have a 2004 215 osprey dc and was wanting  to install  trim tabs on her. I don't  know if I should install 18x9 or 24x9. Next problem is the new placement  of the transducer  as it's in the way of the tab on the starboard side. Any help would be appreciated.

Rule of thumb is to install the largest size tab that will fit properly.

Here's a little light reading.

Good luck. :thumright:

12x12 would give you the same surface area as 9x18 and give you more options for transducer location.  I had 12x12 Bennett hydraulics on my 20 foot Hydrasport and my 23 foot ProLine.  It was a good size for both hulls.  Now I have 12 x12 Bennet Bolts on my CCP.  They work great and the instal is easier than hydraulic.
