Hey all!

I'm on the fence about buying an Aquasport 200 Osprey. I think it's a good boat, very clean, owners seem competent. Plan on using the boat with the wife and two small kids. Do you guys recommend this model for swimming and some fishing with the kids on the Great Lakes. Pump me up so I make the purchase - please

This is it => 1998 19'6" Aquasport Osprey 200 Center Consol

Thanks all!

Hey Hoopcoach, Looks like a solid purchase for your needs. For now. Of course after a couple years your going to want something a bigger, it’s inevitable.lol I have 19’6 and we tube, run to Gull Island,Nautical mile,Anchor Bay,Erie & Huron from the Pointes no issues.. I jig fish on the rivers and channels a lot so 20ft is max size I want.  As far as using on the Great Lakes I would not be trying to cross any of them on any 20ft boat,(ex.Edmond Fitzgerald)you know what I mean. Lake St.Clair,Detroit River & St. Clair River that hull can handle np. Ray at Michigan Marine (former Johnson engineer) is a solid mechanic. That specific boat has been for sale for about a 8 moths now. You might want to pay for a survey to be safe. Other than that I think you will enjoy, Good Luck  Cheers T
