WTB 250 Explorer WAC

I’m looking to find a boat for diving & really like the room of 250 Explorer. My wish list is for later model w/ hard top & four stroke engine. I’ve seen a few w/ twins which would be my preference. Located in central Florida but could travel a little for right boat.
Thx

This boat (
https://classicaquasport.com/smf/index.php?topic=14555.0
) has been consigned at Manatee Mobile Marine in Palmetto (
https://www.manateemobilemarine.com/
). It has twin totally rebuilt merc 200s on a bracket. This boat has the Delta-conic hull and does 50+ mph. I'm not sure the consignment price - maybe $15K. This boat has a 9ft beam and tons of room in the aft plus has a large cabin in the front compared to the 2000+ year models, which the cabin is miniscule. I've camped next to this boat in my Explorer many times.

I actually helped rescue that boat. It truly is a rare Aquasport. While it is a Genmar era hull, it is nothing like the EX line (225, 245/250, 275). Totally different hull design and as Rick stated, a real cabin and the cockpit is great for both fishing and square dancing. I too have camped next to this craft. My 210 looks like a tender along side.
Room aside, the real selling point of this boat is the hull design. Aqua never made anything even remotely close before or after. It is not the Aqua we all know. If I was younger, I would have bought it the minute he put it up. They RARELY come on the market. It's just too much for me to handle at this point in my life.
Good luck with your search.
Rick's in the background, my 210 in the foreground.

Yeah, this boat has a custom full bimini from the hard top to the bracket - lots of shade and it is removeable.
In the pic at the back, is my 230 and you can see the full length bimini in places. You can see that I rolled up the eisneglass zip-in panels. My canvas guy is a creative guy.

Cool boat I was looking for something newer as I have to store it a couple of hours away & wouldn’t hav the time or place to keep an older boat maintained. Also probably going to sit a lot. The high & dry also won’t rack anything wider than 8.5’.

The last year of all Explorers was '05, so that's the newest you can get.

That’s great. I am new to the forum thing. I post a few weeks ago I was going to look at a 250 explorer myself. Couple weeks going back and forth it is at my place now. I have some things to do to it as far as trailer brakes, fixing some minor pumps and wiring to get ready for the Keys this year.
I purchased the 2000 year with a 250 Johnson that had been taking take of. I know it is old and loves gas like the one on my Keywest bayreef. Hoping I can get a few years out of it before repowering with something modern. I look at many other styles of boats BUT I kept going back to the 250 explorer for the aft area. I took it out for a test ride and rode good. I am in the process of going thought it. I am excited for you and may need to share some of your experiences with the boat moving forward. Also thanks for everybody for being patient and im new new at posting. I’m kinda a private person.

Been working a bit on my Explorer. Adding tank racks, speargun rack, 2nd chart plotter then buff out oxidized gelcoat. Also got new AS decals. I’ll put up pics when completed.
