Port windows 290
« on: March 04, 2020, 06:13:37 PM »
Has anyone replaced the port windows in their 290? What did you use and was it an easy swap? :sign0085: Looking for replacements and can only seem to find them for $200 each or $35 each.  I know I will get what I pay for, but maybe something in between since there are 6 windows...

Are they broken? Maybe you can pull them, clean up the areas and re-bed them them in good caulking?

Yes they are broken inside and out.  outside ring is broken in a few spots due to storm damage against the dock.  The inside screw down clamps are also missing or broken on many.  They also leak a little.  Time to be replaced.

Just an update on the port windows.  I went with AAmarine and was very happy with the quality.  I had to cut the boat as the new windows were about an inch and a half longer, and had a downspout that had to be notched out.  Install was very straight forward and went well.  No leaks.  Time will tell if they hold up or not... I will be sure to report back.
