1997 165 striper aquasport with a 97 johnson 50hp spl fuel line

When i looked up the oem fuel line it says 5/16 but when i looked on the boat is has a 3/8. If i put the 5/16 fuel line it will it be ok??

I guess it might depend on the fuel filter barb size. If it is 3/8" (and your hose is 1/16" smaller) it will be a struggle to get it on - you can help it along with dish soap.
