165 Striper steering cable length?

Hello, I recently purchased a 1997 165. The helm and steering cable is needing to be replaced and I was wanting to order the parts before I go back to the boat so I could change it all at one time. But I was unable to pull the cable before I left yesterday and won't be back until next weekend.

I did the telflex measuring and got 14' That seems a bit big though as the boat is only 16 feet feet long. Anyone know the length on these or know where I could find it? I've tried everywhere I can think online and with google. Thanks in advance

The best place to find it is on the cables themselves unfortunately. About a foot from the end.

Yeah that's where they are but I couldn't find it when I was last at the boat and wasn't planning on going back until this weekend. But I took off work today and went to her to get started on this.

It is a 15 foot steering cable on the 165 Striper. Hopefully this will help someone in the future.
